Babywearing Family
This babywearing family of five sculpture with three young children was inspired by my own family. When I had my third child, I wore him everywhere. I loved being able keep the baby close and still hold on to my other children. This is sculpture holds many memories of when our family was young. My original design was sculpted out of clay. The clay sculpture was enlarged, molded and cast in concrete. The sculpture was then painted with a bronze metal coating (ground bronze metal suspended in an acrylic binder) and finished with metal rubs and waxes.
